Recently, the Ecology and Environment Bureau of Chizhou City, Anhui Province, has accepted and publicized the environmental impact report for the Phase II technological transformation project of comprehensive recycling and utilization of 200,000 t/a lithium battery materials by Anhui CN Recycling Technology Co., Ltd. After the production line upgrade, the dismantling capacity of ternary batteries in the Phase II project has been reduced from the original 80,000 t/a to 40,000 t/a. The insufficient portion will be externally purchased in the form of raw materials such as crude nickel hydroxide, crude lithium carbonate, and scrap LFP black mass. The product plan includes 20,000 t/a of ternary cathode precursor and 10,000 t/a of lithium carbonate, which remains consistent with the capacity before the technological transformation. Meanwhile, to ensure the quality of ternary cathode precursors, industrial-grade manganese sulphate and cobalt sulphate will be supplemented. After the technological transformation, the production capacity of the Phase II project remains at 20,000 t/a of ternary cathode precursor and 10,000 t/a of lithium carbonate, consistent with the capacity before the transformation.
